A shadow

The painterly style of this piece is wonderful and it says a lot with very little. The naked man, wearing only a ring on his nipple, looking up with a mixed expression. Pleading? Fearful? Emotionally exhausted? The shadow over him and the hand touching his thigh seem to be ominous and gentle at the same time. The hand certainly isn't touching him roughly.
